hughie (2194), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Aug 24, 2007 Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Bright amber orange. Looks a bit like a mass produced cider. Fruity aroma. Intensely sweet fruity taste: nectarine, peach, redcurrant. No bitterness. Presumably appealing to the female market? Quite palatable. Daniel_Brown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England Jul 24, 2004 Hand pulled at the Anchor, Birmingham. I can only echo what’s been said about this beer previously - it is rather odd. To me it tasted like a fairly fruity bitter, with a sugar-puff quality to it. Berries in the mouth, with some bitterness, which then melts away to be replaced by a sugary cereal flavour - perhaps like sweet tea. Nice aroma, and reasonably drinkable, but not one I will rush back for. maeib (3949), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Jul 11, 2004 Cask conditioned - Gravity - Derby BF. Bizarre beer with an orange-rose colour obviously due to the raspberry. The aroma is mildly fruity but the taste is more reminiscent of a rose wine. Odd but not unpleasant. SilkTork (3865), Rochester, Kent, England Oct 17, 2003 Oxford Beer Fest. Gravity. Odd beer from this South Wales micro which opened for business in 1999. It claims to be a wheat beer, though behaves like a bitter. There is raspberry juice dumped in the mix to add interest. This was a feature of this festival - beers with some additive. The beer is a light orange colour with a raspberry tinge. It's clean and refreshing with a nice tannic suggestion of raspberries. Though thin bodied, it does firm up in the swallow. Kind of goes chalky in the finish, then flavour turns to melted cardboard. Very dry. Good start, poor finish.
