Draft at Hangover Day. Deep brown pour with a bubbly tab head. Aroma of caramel malt, twix bars, profiterole cookies, nuttiness and roast. Flavor is similar with a rich, thick body and smooth carbonation. Pretty solid warmer.

Pours a thick dark brown with light brown head. Syrupy and boozy aroma. Caramel, chocolate, smooth, vanilla and barrel notes...lots of nice smooth boozy character. Tasty!

Draft as Cycle Dulche de Leche. A pitch black beer withba dark brown head. The aroma has notes of coffee and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt and coffee, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Draft at Peg’s Cantina during the 2nd Annual Berliner Bash 2013. Shared with Linh and Maggi. Pours a murky brown body with creamy off white lacing. Aroma is strong caramel, coffee cake, sweet chocolate syrup and brownie. Mouthfeel is full and rich. Flavor captures again, most of which is found in the nose with a touch of roast in the flavor. Awesome.

Fuck yeah. Nearly black. Loads of fudge, butterscotch, coffee, roast...very robust and very well done. Great body. Freaking great.

Draft... Berliner Bash on the Bay 2013... This beer rocks!… Murky dark brown pour with a small, creamy beige head. Good retention. For me, the aromatic highlights are chocolate crème and caramel. Full-bodied and chewy with soft carbonation. The flavor is a bittersweet blend of burnt malt, singed caramel and dark chocolate that tips its cap toward the bitter side of balance with a carbonic finish. World class collaboration by John Wakefield and Doug at Cycle Brewing/Peg’s Cantina!

Snifter pour at Berliner Bash, poured a dark brown color with aromas of roast, caramel, chocolate and some lactose. Flavors were coffee like witj some chocolate and caramel thrown in, velvety smooth on the palate, an outstanding beer I could drink all day.

7/10/13. On tap at Peg’s Cantina. Black brown pour with a small tan head. Rich buttery caramel aroma with roast, chocolate, and a touch of ashiness. The flavor follows suit, almost Creme Brulee -esque without being so cloyingly sweet. Very tasty, but very rich.

On tap at Mikkeller Bar Viktoriagade. The draft has a somewhat opaque black body with a thin finger of tan foam and a few lacing rings. The nose is not as robust nor roasted as I would predict with a sweet malty roast and light coffee and licorice notes floating elegantly together. The flavour is sweet with a light pervasive roasted flavour as well as a splash of vanilla bean, french roast and dark chocolate. This is a good attempt but only moderately well executed in my opinion.
