One of the most approachable ales produced by Cycle Brewing is this classic Irish Red ale with all of its caramel malt and gentle hopping but with the added nuance of rye. The rye comes across in the aroma as well as the flavor with a mild spice character and lends a more full flavor to an already malty style. Ryerish Red is easy to enjoy for all levels of craft beer drinkers. 5.0% ABV

On tap. No detailed notes - just now noticing I haven’t entered Cycle beers in after several tastings. Not a fan of the style generally, but this is a very good example, with the rye adding just enough character to be interesting but not overwhelming.

Sample on tap at the brewery during RBWG. Clear red orange amber color. Thin off-white head leaving good lace. Lighter body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light slick. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. Mild caramel, light spiciness, bit of hop. A slightly above average irish red; solid, well-done.

My local favorite! Smooth spicy rye with a medium amber hue, an effective combination of hops and malt that makes a very drinkable ale.

Pours a slightly hazy dark orange color with off-white head. Lots of rye on the nose, with some caramel malt, and spice; follows onto the palate. Finishes with rye spice.
