2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
8/10/14. Growler thanks to Forrest! Clear gears golden pour with a couple inch frothy khaki head that fades. Aside from the head, it looks like the real deal. Corny aroma, reminds of corn chips, a bit of a fruity grape aspect, malty, light grassy hops. Plain flavor, malty, a surprising touch of hops, corny, a bit if a lingering pale malt doughiness. Not bad.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Big 32oz crowler (but a 40 would have been stellar) courtesy of markwise, thanks Mark. It pours with a clear deep gold body that supports a semi short lived off white to light tan head of foam. The aroma is sort of apple-y as well as light citrus and light mango and then if flows into some creamed corn mixed with pleasing grainy to cereal like maltiness. I get no chemical booze or boozy heat that is a hallmark of the style. The taste starts with a mix of sweet apple, grainy malts and then a modest degree of sweet almost candy like citrus that has a sliver of mango going on there too. This remains fairly even and smooth and unoffensive but the sweet estery fruitiness are spot on to style. Well done Doug!

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
This beer here, this beer I had @ the Grand Tasting... Compliments of Homer321 of course.
Pours a deep holed color with a small but fairly well retained head.
The aroma is a touch spicy, really fairly clean with a bit of doughiness.
The flavor is sort of sweet & a touch doughy. It’s got some corn and a good balance from some spicy happiness.
a fun one, shit!

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
As far as malt liquors go, this one tastes like malt liquor. Not sure if that’s a good thing.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Growler @ RBSG 2014 Grand Tasting. Thanks, Sean. Clear golden pour with a white head. Aromas of corn, grass, and bread dough. Surprisingly floral. Some hints of apple juice. Flavor is just kind of sweet and grainy. Fair amount of corn and bread dough. Mild apple, some grass, and very light floral hops. Just kind of a meh high boost lager.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Growler shared by Homer321 at the RBSG grand tasting - thanks again, Sean! Pours a clear pale gold with a big white head that leaves big white bubbles. Notes of corn, straw, pale and sweet and crackery malts, maybe a little mineral note, as well. Medium-bodied, with medium carbonation and a malty mouthfeel. As malt liquors go, this is one of the best I’ve had.
