500 mL growler. Originally reviewed shortly after the release, though I didn’t record the date. Black with some transparency at the edges. Decent khaki head. Strong boozy bourbon nose. Some coffee and chocolate roasted malt. Really intense barrel. Bourbon flavor is really intense. I understand that these are Chocolate Bourbon barrels from Pritchard’s, but I don’t get a ton of chocolate. Just a harsh bourbon and roasted malt. Boozy. Medium body. Medium carbonation. The barrel is intense. Too intense for me.

Growler thanks to Brian. Pours a very dark brown with medium tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong rum, roast, dark chocolate, coconut. Thick mouth, chewy, roast, dark chocolate, nice sweetness from the rum, really enjoyed this.

Opaque black, thin mocha head. Chocolate, rum, some vanilla, a little wood, caramel, and marshmallow. Sweet and viscous with a little bitterness. Full-bodied, slick, and a pleasant boozy finish.

Had at the Cajun Cafe. Pours a very deep brown with a light brown head. Aroma is serious rum barrel with roasted malts, chocolate, tres leches, vanilla, caramel, and toffee. The taste is amazing with dark chocolate, caramel, sweet milks, rum barrel, and vanilla. Roasted malt and slightly sweet finish with barrel. Thick mouth, full body. Damn good.

Had this as Rum BA Imperial Sweet Stout at CBC 2014. Beer in the glass deep black, small head. Heavy malty aroma. Starts heavy malty, spicy, earthy, more and more woody notes. Warming malty finish with some coffee notes. A good one!

Poured a black color from the growler with aromas of cocoa, coffee, vanilla, rum and some oak. Flavors follow suit light sweetness up front with some chocolate and coffee, followed by some nice rum flavors.
