Pours clear amber with no head. Aroma has notes of prunes, raisin, alcohol, spices and honey. Taste is medium sweet and light sour. Body is full, texture is sticky, carbonation is flat.

Bottled. A chestnut colored mead. The aroma has strong notes of honey and caramel. The flavor is very sweet with notes of honey, raisins, and nuts. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.

Bottle, 75cl, at RBNAG -09. A clear, golden mead, still. Honey, heather and gingerbread on the nose, a bit more spiced than I like. The flavor is even more spiced, with honey still dominating. Full-bodied, yet watery. Pleasantly warming. Cardamom and ginger in the finish. A decent mead indeed, but too spiced. 091107

750 ml bottle sampled@RBNAG 2009, Vatlandsvåg. Amber to golden body without any head. Aroma is pleasant vinous, light spicy and fruity in addition to honey of course. Flavor is sweet, floral honey and winy alcohol. Very pleasant.

Bottle, ABV 11%, RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg. Golden colour, no carbonation. Very nice aroma of honey and some spices. Very sweet flavour of honey, some fruit wine notes.
