Hazy and less dark than the tmavy; reddish black with clingy, lasting, light brown foam. Sweet coffee aroma. Fresh coffee syrup flavour with low bitterness and considerably weak overall (this is no espresso beer!). Modest sweetness. Pleasant, but artifical-like. Light body with low carbonation.

On tap at the brewery tap. Very dark brown with lasting beige head. Lots of coffee. Bit like the dark star esprewsso stout. The coffee is creamier, still a bit thin in body. Coffee finish is only slightly powdery. This is probably the best of their flafvoured beers that I had. Pleasant coffee aroma.

31-12-04 from Pivovarsky Dum. One of my favourire bars I have made three visits to this place in the last couple of years or so. Smashing coffee beer complete with a coffee bean on top, nice coffee aroma and taste very smooth ’this is begining to sound like a nescafe gold blend coffee advertisment’ but regrdless this is very good beer from a great little brewpub.

Major coffee - big time! I enjoyed it. Quality stuff from the folks at Dum. Nice charming brewpub in middle of nowhere, Prague.

On tap at the brewery, served with coffee beens right in the .5L glass. Pours dark brown with a tall tan head. Very nice fresh coffee aroma and taste. Very smooth like their tmavy with a light roastiness and very nice balance. By far my favorite beer from this brewery.

(On tap at the brewpub) Dark red-ish brown colour, nice head. Very nice roasty coffee aroma. Unfortunately the flavour does’nt live up to the promise the aroma gave. The coffee is still there but a bit thin and stale.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: MAR 24, 2008 On tap at the brewpub in 2005:
Dry coffee beans scream and scare off the roasted malt underneath. Young, unfinished grain looks bewildered from underneath. Well, it is a coffee beer.
Ample roastiness surges, but that of low-quality coffee. Flavors are unidimensional and tired, a little warm acidity plagues the finish. I guess this wasn’t their best day. 2.6/5
A day later, leftovers in the coffee pot.
On tap at the brewpub in 2008:
Lots of authentic coffee bean flavors in a hefty but drinkable Tmavé. 3.6/5

On tap at Pivovarsky Dum. Oaky brown body with quiet, bubbly head that lasted. Plus on the appearance for the coffee bean in the head. Full coffee flavor with some roast and bitter chocolate. Their best brew.
