Grassy nose, sweet lager malt aromas. Yellow-gold color, foamy white head. Quick citrusy malt with a fairly broad but dull hop bitter. Like an NA at times. Crisp texture, but with a gritty aftertaste. Different, but not so good in the end.

Light golden color, fast diminishing head, medium carbonation. Paper and greass nose - very light. Grass, perfume and even rosemary taste with a cardboardy finish.

(bottle) Pale golden colour with a moderate foamy white head. Dense slightly sweet malty aroma. Medium sweet flavour, medium body. Clean and crisp malty taste with a balanced hoppiness; dry and bitter finish. Well-made typical Ruhr area Export.

Trev (1424) - Lakeville, Minnesota, USA - JUL 24, 2005
From the can: Pours a clear pale gold with large foamy white head. Aroma is very light, almost imperceptible. Faintly grassy. Flavour is crisp malty and clean finishing. An enjoyable session beer but nothing special.

pivnizub (7022) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - APR 26, 2005
Bottle: Yellow, big fluffy white head; fresh malty nose with some hints of hoppiness; fizzy, begins slightly bready, malty, turns into a quite dry bitter finish; quite light bodied and quite hoppy for a Dortmunder.........

highlandlad (1319) - Blue Mountains, AUSTRALIA - JAN 27, 2005
Inoffensive but forgettable Dortmunder. Poured a pale straw colour with a thin head. Sweet, hoppy nose. Medium-bodied. Flavours are more subtle than the nose might suggest. Hints of honey in a sweetish middle. Some bitterness in the finish. Reasonable summer drinking. (Bottle)

Nate (3026) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 7, 2004
Aroma is light, sweet with resinous hops, beans. Light sugar, veggie smell, too. Sparkling clear golden yellow with thin foamy white head. Lacing persists, but soapy-like. Body is medium heavy, watery, with medium carbonation. Taste is mildly acidic and hoppy up front and segways to a light acidic-salty finish. After is light-medium bitter, but rather clean.

dortmunder (961) - Herdecke, GERMANY - JAN 28, 2004
Quite hoppy for an Export. Also, not much of a malty sweetness. Spicy, though. Well done Export.
