1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 thedm (4116) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JAN 2, 2005
This bottled brew poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized mostly diminishing white colored bubbles that left behind an unnoted lacing. The body contained average carbonation, was transparent and light orange in color. Its aroma contained notes of mild malty hoppy astringent . Its mouth feel is initially tingly bubbly with a lingering tingly palate. Its flavor contained mild malty hoppy notes and was good but too bubbly.
1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 hotstuff (3213) - Indiana, USA - DEC 27, 2004
Bottle. Small white head that fully diminished, fine-small sized bubbles, sparse lacing, transparent, carbonated, and a yellow hue. Aroma was sweet, malty and slightly skunky. Flavor was acidic and somewhat harsh and overall not tasty. Tingly mouthfeel.

It’s a shame that DAB felt they had to get a hand in on the low-carb market, especially since their offering of a low-carb stinks, pale yellow color, spritzy, overly-carbonated, fizzy, very little flavor, a champagne-like mouthfeel with all the fizziness & bubbles in the mouth, not a great offering at all
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 Cornfield (5239) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - SEP 14, 2004
This is a "NO." DAB makes good brews. Why get into this low-carb BS? It’s actually better than most of these current, non-sensical lagers... but who wants to be the best of the worst? Drink real beer, instead.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Braudog (4473) - Hampton, Virginia, USA - SEP 4, 2004
This is crystal clear and pale yellow with a thin foamy white head. Sweet malty aroma. The flavor is musty, sweet and grainy. For the weak look, this actually surprises with almost some flavor. Hate this new "low carb" kick, though.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 Pailhead (3326) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - AUG 8, 2004
Bottle: The aroma is somewhat malty but very weak. Pours a pale transparent yellow with a small soapy looking head without much retention. Flavor is weak some malts and some hops but neither is all that distinguishable. Very dry. There is some flavor compared to Mic Ultra, but that’s not saying much. It tastes like a excessively watered down German pilsner. This is the 4th low carb beer I’ve had and it is probably comparable to Coors Aspen Edge (not necessarily in taste, but in quality). Top of line low-carb beer, but in general, ranks with the Bud Lights of the World.

Nearly clear with out much taste at all. Some sort of strange shoe leather taste at the finish, bad, bad, bad!
0.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 jaymobrown (1445) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 30, 2004
Ugh, this had to be one of the worst beers that I have ever had. Flat, yellow, dry. Terrible flavors - sort of like old shoes left in the rain. Couldn’t finish it.
