Pours a pristine straw color with a solid foamy head which dissipated quickly. Subtle sweet malt and grassy hop aroma. Watery palate that is cool and crisp, ending with a cardboard-like bitterness. This was my first German blond lager. I’d like to compare it to other similar styles.

UPDATED: JAN 14, 2010 A very mild and slightly sweet lager. Thin body and short-lived head. Finishes a little dry. A good hot weather companion, but nothing really stands out other than the nice skunk. I like this beer despite its short comings.

Golden in color with a short lasting white head. Aroma is straw and malt. Flavor is crispy and grainy. A little hint of maltiness in the finish. Watery and boring finish.

Clear golden with a medium white head. Sweet yeasty aroma with hints of malt. Flavour was sweet with malt and cardboard notes. Finished fairly dry.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is dry grassy. Cornish flavoured, light malty note. Dry and slight cardboardish flat finish with a light bitterness.

Sampled from a bottle. Initially pleased by the aroma, a nice hoppy/Euro lager smell. Once poured, aroma seemed thinner and slightly metallic. Pours a slightly cloudy pale yellow with a thin head and not much lacing. Flavor seemed kinda thin as well, a tin-like hoppy taste that faded quick. It was OK, that’s about it.

Sampled from a green bottle, has a clear pale yellow pour with a white head, head recedes to a sparse cover and ring, there is a little effervescence in the glass, aromas of bread, faint malt and lemon citrus, light honey sweetness in the background with faint grass and hay hops (I was surprised there was no skunk in this green bottle), flavors of light malt and bread, has some hop bitterness but this beer has the bitter bite of off hops, metal, herbal type of taste that I get from some European beers which is not good, it is not real strong in this off-bite but it is there, felt light (thin) on the palate, this is a light smelling and tasting beer.

Light gold, strong uneven dense white head. Little shortbread aroma and some wet dog. Refreshing and crisp, bready malts, medium bodied, honey grassy finish. The 500ml can provides plenty of protection from the elements, and stand out against its bottled counterparts.
