Suitably impressed with this, a new style of beer for me. Straw colour with quite a bit of a head. Had in a can poured into a Stella Artois pint glass. Grassy nose, vegetables, grassy/hay taste with malt. Low carbonation and oily texture, so rather quite easy to drink unlike the gassy lagers I’m usually to trying and in fact rather refreshing. Better than a lot of English bitters I’m used to trying as well!

Pale straw-colour with a firm long-lasting head. Effervescence is unremarkable. Smells of sweet malt, grass and a hint of bread. Tastes of hay/grass and malt. Mouthfeel is average. This beer has all the characteristics a typical eurolager.

At just over $1 per .5 liter (16.9 oz) can, DAB Dortmunder is a damn fine thirst-quencher and a good import alternative to Pilsner Urquell. While I have nothing against a "fresh" Pilsner Urquell, its green bottle is a skunk magnet and it’s generally overpriced in the States. I make the comparison because I find these brews quite similar, possibly due to the addition of hop extract.

Bottle. Flavour and taste dominated by yeast - it’s a bit like liquid white bread. Not bad for a lager.

From bottle. Golden with white head. Bready yeast aroma, little caramel. Similar taste, yeast dominates but caramel malt present, slightly metallic finish. Dry finish. Not the worst lager I’ve had

smell of some cereal and grass. tastes a bit like heinekin but not so buttery. slightly bitter on the finish but disappears almost immediately. easy to drink. refreshing. clean. I don’t mind it

Decent head and okay darker yellow body with light carbonation. Soft hop-cardboard lager aroma of no real interest. Flavour is light hops with a planty aftertaste. Watery palate. This is just generally a crappy beer.

Dab Dortmunder Actien Brauerei Original 500 ml can pours golden with frothy white head. Quite carbonated, head dies down to patchy. Yeasty aroma. Sweet malty drinkable drop.

Aroma is not real evident and the initial taste seemed a little bitter. I must admit the more I drank, the more I enjoyed it. Detected no real after taste. Nothing to brag about but acceptable.
