I used to have a giant can of this. As I child I used it as a piggy bank. I’m glad to have finally drank it, though I honestly wouldn’t try it again.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
DAB has a thick, white head, a clear, bubbly, golden straw appearance, and lots of rather thick, splotchy lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet, rich barley malt, and the flavor is of very grassy, bitter hops, sweet, biscuit grain, and clean water. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and DAB Original finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and quite drinkable. Overall, this is a superbly enjoyable lager, and I score it at the lower end of excellent. Delicious! RJT

Pours yellow gold with a lathered pancake that dies off slowly. Smells of sweet horse malt with a touch of bitter. Medium full nectar with good carbonation. A malt forward brew with acidity on the finish. A touch of sweet malt lingers. A brew of old world character.

Can--pours with huge, white head that doesn’t last. Aroma was somewhat malty with hay. Sweet taste with biscuit. Finish was a little buttery with light carbonation. A straight down the middle beer that is fine on a warm Florida afternoon. Total wine.

Bottle, 11 months prior to bb. Pale gold with a white head that doesn’t last all that well. Aroma of hay, grass, lemon. Quite soft mouthfeel. Sweetish with a moderately bitter finish. Light malts, slight aromatic hops, fairly dry finish. Better than recalled.

Can from 16 Tons Taphouse. Pours a medium light golden color, looks like an IPA. Aroma slight biscuity sweetness. Bod lively, finish abrupt. Would rather drink this than most American cheap lagers. Does what it tries to do.
