2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Bullit (3198) - Burgos, SPAIN - JUL 4, 2007
Clear golden colour, big white lasting head. Flat aroma. Standard pilsener, not much of an aftertaste; moderately bitter.

I’ll assume this is the correct one. Tap at Laschet’s. Very neutral standby beer, in my opinion. Nice taste, nothing to frown on here. Tasty.

Not much of an aroma...smelled of light hops but not very detectable. Pour was a dark gold with a thin ring for a head...very disappointing for a pilsener. Thick mouthfeel with moderate carbonation...can’t really detect anything in there. There is a faint hops taste in the very very bakground. Wet finish that was too thick for me.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20 cazort (456) - Newark, Delaware, USA - JUN 15, 2007
Aroma very weak for a Pilsener. Flavour mostly malty, hops are very weak, flavor is overall weak. Fairly sweet and only faintly bitter. I do not think this really tastes like a Pilsener. This is a weak beer that is only a hair above most American macro-brews, in my opinion. I see no real difference between this brew and one of the better American "Pale Lagers" such as Yuengling. To its credit, it has no metallic taste, and only a slight macro-sourness to it.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 yomintyfresh (53) - USA - JUN 13, 2007
Pretty standard German pils. Had the U.S. version, imported by Binding. Tastes more like the German Binding than a Dortmunder-style beer. Crisp, dry, more malty than hoppy.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 TheGrandMaster (2308) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 10, 2007
UPDATED: AUG 11, 2007 Can (unfortunately), poured a milky and pale yellow with a bubbly white head that last half a second. A sweet aroma of honey, but of nothing really, not too skunky for me. A light mouthfeel with a strong hop presence.A finish is not great, sharp and sickly.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 JesseM (918) - Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 5, 2007
UPDATED: AUG 23, 2008 I really wanted to like this one. But it was just too plain and yes, skunky. Not horrible, but nothing to remember. It is kind of funny though, that a beer from and named after Dortmund, isn’t in fact considered a Dortmunder here on RB. I don’t know if there’s lots of cleaning up and editing that has to be done, or if it simply isn’t a good Dort, but either way the irony is still good. EDIT: I see it’s been changed now (months after my initial rating). I though someone explained to me once why it wasn’t listed as a Dort/Helles and it made sense, but whatever so much for that I guess. ANOTHER EDIT: I had this from a 440mL can the other day, 4 months old, and it was actually amazing. The hop presence was incredible, perfectly bitter but balanced. Definitely more Pilsener like, but I guess this one is a little on the ambiguous side of things. I was wrong about this one for too long.....
