Bitter aroma--somewhat sour. Taste is a slight cut above lagerish but hardly memorable. Dull

OKBeer (1171) - Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA - APR 7, 2003
UPDATED: AUG 9, 2006 500 ml can. Golden colour with a thick and mostly lasting frothy white head. Toasty, metallic, and perfume aroma. Toasted cereal, lightly grainy, biscuit flavours with a floral bitter finish. Light bodied, crisp mouthfeel.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2003 Overall impression was more hoppy than I would've expected from a German style. My bottle poured out with a big head that settled down after a few minutes.

Clear, light golden body with medium white head. Aroma is medium grassy/straw. Taste is grassy, though it finishes corn-ish. Body is fairly light, but not watery.

Clear straw colr, thin head. Very shy aroma of raw cereals, wet straw flavor. Yucky.

Frank (2967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 17, 2003
UPDATED: SEP 27, 2004 Very pales straw color. Massive carbonation leads to an initially thick and foamy head. Unfortunately, it is entirely diminishing. Mild aroma of hay and grain. Somewhat watery. There's just too little goin on in the flavor department. Some hops in the finish with no malt backbone. Almost completely lacking in character.

Can. Pours a golden colour with large frothy head. Little lacing though. Aroma is hops and slightly skuny. Taste is malty with a little spice. Finish is bubbly and bland. Dortmund has much better beers than this "original" example.

CapFlu (4588) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 1, 2003
(Bottle) Pours a thin and quick dissipating white head. Nice amber body with lively carbonation. Hoppy nose with malt undertones. The initial carbonated and hop taste makes a transition to a citrus, malt flavour mid-palate then finishes somewhat watery. Average.

Voivod (304) - Como, ITALY - FEB 21, 2003
Golden colour, few bubbly head. typical hoppy aroma. The taste is quite malty and too much bitter in the aftertaste (bad quality hops?). Anyway drinkable, but nothing special...
