One of the weaker German pils. Wierd aftertaste. Go Becks or St. Pauli if you must go with a big commercialfor this style.

A below average lager with a cheap malty flavor. Metallic, bourbon-like aftertaste. Metallic. Better than many ’green-bottle’ beers but nothing worth seeking out.

I can’t say that this one was very exciting, tasted rather generic and standard American-like to me. I always have high hopes for anything German, oh well.

Bright and clean. Good lasting head. Slight lacing. Foamy mouth feel. Average hops for the style. Solid beer with food but doesn’t stand out alone.

A really nice sweet aroma, followed by a light pilsener flavor that’s not all that German in style. Light on the Saaz, this DAB is an acceptable choice. Soapy?

This beer did not make a strong initial impression. Poured on tap into a well-crafted German mug. Peachy-yellow color. A thin lacy head that disappated after a few minutes. Very light maltiness and hops. Smooth like a dortmunder should be ... perhaps a little too thin. This brew really grew legs, however, while I was eating. It really accentuated my meal. Worth a shot, but don’t run out to buy it.

They have this on tap at the German club in Stanmore and Im happy to drink this all night. I remember doing rounds with my mate Adam during the world cup. Ahhhh. This is an easy drinking relatively bland but not awful beer. Perhaps warm is better? Hmm. I wonder...
