A formidable lager that works in all contexts. The flavor has a distinct bitter flavor combined with a strong malt flavor. Crisp, fresh and good body.

Lobotomy (5) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 19, 2012 does not count
UPDATED: MAY 25, 2012 Poured from green bottle into pilsner glass. Foamy head that quickly dissipates, good lacing down side of glass. Slightly sweet, crisp taste. Good balance with the hop bitterness. Aroma includes cereal and a slight skunkiness, most likely due to the green glass bottle. Not even close to the skunkiness in Heineken. It was faint, but noticeable. Overall, a good clean beer. I think it would do well with grilled food or barbecue.

Scipio (185) - Vernon Hills, Illinois, USA - MAY 18, 2012
Pours a watery golden with a white head. Aroma is very bready and little else. Taste is more of the same, although there is a bit of a floral touch in it. Thin body, kind of watery. Easy task to find something better.

VincentL (157) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 13, 2012

kramer (3455) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 8, 2012
Bottle. Pours a clear light hold body with a small fizzy white head that faded quickly to a wispy covering. The nose is a bit sulphury with some light grassy hops and some Cheerios like cereal grain. The flavor is not terrible, but it’s a little heavy on the sulphur notes and light on the hops at the same time, making it a bit off balance. Not the cleanest finish, but it’s a little crisp at least. Light bodied and fizzy mouthfeel with some lingering pale malt and a light bitterness. Not bad, but not something I’d want a whole bunch of.

BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 8, 2012
April 2007: Green 660ml bottle. The 4th beer in my ’Night of the Lagers’. Poured into a Veltins tulip glass. Lovelly white head on top of a golden yellow body. Normal lager type aroma, straw and hops, but nothing too strong. One of the better German Pilsners in my opinion, crisp, dry and fresh tasting.

frpilz (46) - Illinois, USA - APR 28, 2012
Fresh smell, malty and grassy/clover aromas. Thin golden color, beautiful head which maintains and clings to the sides. Crisp entry , then flavor smooths out for a long slightly creamy finish. Excellent German lager. Medium flavored , lightish mouthfeel, refreshing, yet smooth finish .
