I like to call this beer Cindy. Why? Well, DAB is like the patient ex-girlfriend you call at 3.00 am when your life sucks... she’ll always be there for you and be as sensible and true as ever. The only reason you broke up was because she wasn’t as spectacular, exciting and racy as other girls - or so u thought. But this was just a case of the grass being greener. And so with this beer. It does nothing wrong but you might tend to look at the other German Pilsener next to it - It has a lovely soft malt nose, honeyish with a slight flowery hop coming through. The mouthfeel is sprtizy with a fine malty back bone followed by a clean bitter middle. No lingering after taste. Solid!

Clean golden color with a very foamy looking white head. Malt and vegetative aromas dominate the nose. Rather grassy tasting with a hint of malt sweetness as well.

I reckon this is pretty good. Good straight from the bottle and pretty good value.

Quite ordinary light pilsner type beer. Somehow, the taste is a bit över the ordinary though. It must be the german School of beermaking. Probably best on a hot sunny Day.

From a longneck poured into a glass. I really enjoyed the grassy aroma this beer gives off. A good fresh pils, but perhaps lacking in body after the initial onset. I could drink this as a session beer substituting it for the more ubquitous Heineken or Becks found in long neck. A good drop, if for nothing else but a change.

Rich caramel coffee aroma. Light golden colour. Dry crisp aftertaste, not bitter though sweetness prevails.

crabbey (16) - NEW ZEALAND - APR 25, 2010
Appearance is bright golden with a medium dissipating white head. Nose is bread with some grassiness. Slightly sweet with a moderate bitterness. Body is thin with moderate carbonation. Bitter finish. Fairly unremarkable. 500mL can.
