Golden yellow colour with a thin head. Smooth taste, no real aftertaste. Easy drinking beer. What Molson Canadian wishes it was.

A rather splendid beer! I can’t really fault it. Not as good as the astounding Asahi Super Dry, but a great can of beer, as the Americans might say! Light and crisp. And what could be better than that?

UPDATED: AUG 23, 2008 I really wanted to like this one. But it was just too plain and yes, skunky. Not horrible, but nothing to remember. It is kind of funny though, that a beer from and named after Dortmund, isn’t in fact considered a Dortmunder here on RB. I don’t know if there’s lots of cleaning up and editing that has to be done, or if it simply isn’t a good Dort, but either way the irony is still good. EDIT: I see it’s been changed now (months after my initial rating). I though someone explained to me once why it wasn’t listed as a Dort/Helles and it made sense, but whatever so much for that I guess. ANOTHER EDIT: I had this from a 440mL can the other day, 4 months old, and it was actually amazing. The hop presence was incredible, perfectly bitter but balanced. Definitely more Pilsener like, but I guess this one is a little on the ambiguous side of things. I was wrong about this one for too long.....

I tried this beer on August 17, 2007 at ’Smokeless Joe’ in Toronto. The beer poured a gold translucent colour into official DAB glasswear. The head was white and thin. The aroma was mild and slightly hoppy. The mouthfeel was mild, with medium carbonation. The flavour was sharp, malty with citrusy tones.

Golden beer with a little hoppy and fruity aroma. Nothing really special about this beer but a great taste.

I am glad that the Dortmond did not go extinct. Malty in a light body. Just the right amount of sweet and bitter for this body. Smells skunky but I love that.

crisp golden color, clean start to finish without any aftertaste what so ever. Not much flavor here but hey it’s better than bud.

Pours a golden color. Lots of carbination, but a quick dissapating head. Very crisp, the carbination is more in line with a Coke, but it is refreshing. I sensed no bitter hoppy aftertaste. Aside of the carbination, I found this no different than your standard Budweiser or Labatt Blue. While you will look different drinking this out of a bottle in a bar or with friends, taste and smell wise, it is no different from many of the other macro-brews available throughout America.

Been looking for this one awhile. Grabbed a sixer at Viking Premium Beverage on King Ave. in Cowlumbus. Pours a light sparkling straw. The tall frothy thick white head is mostly lasting with decent lacing. The grassy and piney nose is fresh with a slight hint o yeast. The flavor is rich and deep for one of such fair complexion. The brew begins sweetish and finishes with a nice round bisquity quality. The light to medium body is creamy and soft with an astringent feel to the finish. Perfect for summertime.
