blipp (578), Grand Island, New York, USA May 20, 2008 Bottle. Pours clear gold with a white head. Aroma is grassy and a bit floral. Medium body. Flavor is just about the same as the aroma. Well balanced and easy to drink.
Skidds (125), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jul 9, 2008 A good all around German brew. Not as interesting and many of the others, but worth drinking. I buy tall boys of this a lot actually. Dedollewaitor (1818), Odense, Denmark Jul 7, 2008 50cl can: Pours clear & pale piss yellow with a creamy white foam & lacings. Sour aroma of hay & corn. Dry & crisp taste - still quite sour, dry & old. A true Dortmunder I guess! subcell (94), Portsmouth, Virginia, USA Jun 29, 2008 This was your average run of the mill lagers to me. I really don’t have anything to say about it, not great but not bad either. I would drink it again. bhensonb (2713), Woodland, California, USA Jun 29, 2008 330 ml. bottle from Beer Geek. Gold color with a middling white head. Aroma of pale malt and noble hop. Near medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is off, with some hop bitter. The malt comes off herby veg. Bitter builds a little, but the flavor is unattractive. Dry. Almost astringent. Doesn’t work for me though. SilkTork (3793), Rochester, Kent, England Jun 27, 2008 330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Salty and soapy. Unattractive grainy malt with a salty hop bitterness. The whole thing doesn’t hold together well. This is a classic Dortmunder, and it’s clearly no different to most cheap lager - perhaps hoppier than the average global lager, but quality is the same.
