3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
In short: A basic uber-clean amber ale. Ok.
How: Tap at Downtown, San Juan, PR.
The look: Clear copper body topped by a very small white head.
In long: Nose is roasted tree bark, toasted tobacco leafs. Taste has bread crust, a bit of caramel, light barley candy notes, just enough leafy hops to balance the beer out. Polished clean medium body with an appropriate medium carbonation. An overall extremely clean character. This is not an exciting beer, but same can be said about most no-style amber ales, but this simple is highly drinkable and somewhat satisfying. I give it a passing grade. My first beer in Puerto Rico, and the pubs over there seem to have some kind of dress code I’m not aware of, people were looking at me strange while I was drinking my beer in my bugs bunny suit.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Smells like mango and honey - interesting smell. Pours reddish copper. Initial head, some lacing. Bitter finish with some hops and malt in aroma. Consistency a bit on the fizzy side. On tap at Taberna Lupulo.

On tap at Downtown, in San Juan. Clear dark amber with a slight head and lace. Nice local foray into commercial brewing.
