bierkoning (5987), La Tropica, Netherlands Oct 24, 2004 Light grassy aroma. Light, malty and grassy at first, but then a firm hoppiness comes up. Firm, hoppy, flowery aftertaste. Quite decent. jbrus (4835), Delft, Netherlands Oct 23, 2004 Light herbal aroma. Golden color, white head, good lace. Light sweet, little malty, flowery, light, little dry. Nice but not exceptional. skortila (2875), Bunnik, Netherlands Oct 23, 2004 (Dutch ratebeermeeting) Aroma of hops and some fruity notes. Clear, golden coloured with a lasting, thin, white head. Taste is hoppy, flowery, and sweet Quite smooth and fresh. Decent stuff. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Oct 1, 2004 Golden colour and a thick white head with minimal lacing. Nice light malty aroma, plenty of Saaz hop aroma. Zestiness and fruitiness in the mouth, full-bodied and nicely bitter. madsberg (4873), Sřborg, Denmark Mar 20, 2004 Draught: Golden coloured. Huge fluffy white head. Malt, hops and some light fruitnotes in the aroma. Sweet, fruity and malty flavour. Sweet with a touch of bitterness in the end. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Nov 28, 2003 Blond color. Malty aroma, simpler than the "10%" version. Interesting flavor, malty and nice aromatic hopping! A pleasant Bohemian Pilsner, overall better than the "10%" version. Hildigöltur (5109), Křbenhavn, Denmark Oct 7, 2003 Updated: Jun 25, 2004Draught. Golden with big white head. Very nice hoppy Czech pilsener. Refreshing and bitter. Very sparkling (at least compared to the cask ale I had just before). [7-3-7-3-14=3.4]
Rerate: Hazy orange coloured. Fruity aroma. Bitter finish. mullet (798), Melbourne, Australia Aug 20, 2003 Combines the hopping of a Bohemian Pils with all the "maltiness" of VB. Typical golden BoPils colour, with possibly the shortest lasting head I've seen. Aroma is very cidery with a faint hint of hops. Flavour is quite nice and bitter, but lacking in malt, thus out of balance (perhaps more like a very bitter German Pils). OK, but there's heaps better.
