2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 ghawener (1243) - San Salvador, - APR 3, 2008
At La Tortula. Bottle: A nice surprise from this local brewery. A lighter version of this style, probably more adapted to the local preferences. String alcohol is well balanced with light fruity, malty notes.

Pours a cloudy amber with a little white head. Aroma is malty with a strange fruit. Taste is sweet fruity malt and noticeable alcohol with some spice. Not bad but of course fails to compete with a genuine Belgian Ale.

Can (in NZ). Kind of unusual this. A cloudy amber doesn’t exactly entice the tongue. The nostril hairs are warmed by the alcohol and tickled by the spice. It is warm in the mouth too, while the flavour is everything, but nothing. A lot spice and fruity yeast esters. A little drying the finish. You wouldn’t thik it was 8.5%, but you wouldn’t to drink a lot of it either.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mazfln (115) - Florianópolis, BRAZIL - JAN 4, 2011
A very hazy yellow beer with small disappearing head. Aroma is not very noticeable, sweet with yeast and some fruits. Flavour is a little sweet and not very fruity. Alcohol is prominent, but not disturbing. An ok beer, specially for its price.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 danielyabu (742) - União da Vitória, BRAZIL - JUN 14, 2009
Average, off-white, rocky initial head. Fully diminishing longevity. Good lacing. Sparkling, thin, light-amber body. Aroma: moderate malt, molasses, milk chocolate, dried fruits. Initial flavor: moderate sweetness and light bitterness. Final flavor: moderate sweetness and bitterness. Long duration. Palate: medium body, texture amid watery and oily, lively carbonation and chalky and lightly alcoholic finish. It fits the style.

Belo rótulo! Coloração dourada e levemente turva. Espuma branca de curta duração e pequena formação. Notas maltadas, adocicadas e cítricas, sugerindo abacaxi. Corpo médio. O álcool me incomodou um pouco, principalmente no final. Carbonatação média. Final doce e levemente amargo. O conjunto poderia ser mais equilibrado.

Bottle, about R$ 4.50 (US$ 2.05) in Perini, Salvador, Brazil. Very nice brazilian beer. A good choice.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Russo (1056) - Campinas, BRAZIL - SEP 27, 2008
Bottled. Nice cloudy oarnge color almost amber, with that star with a nice white head, but not persist for a long time, just keep a lace. Aroma is sweety, notes of roasted sugar, caramel and malt. Flavor is pretty much the same as the arom, but the alcohol show his face at finish, that disappoint me a little. Mouthfeel is like a balanced alcohol and bitterness. Good one.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Fukito (611) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - MAR 20, 2008
Bottle, february 08, thanks Sergio for bringing this one to BA! Nice, spicy, fruity and phenollic kind of aroma with some orange peel. Atractive. Shinny, slightly hazy golden-orange color with a medium white head. Spicy fruity flavor. Alcoholic warmth. Complex and engaging with a touch of orange mermelade. Full palate, chewy malts, full of fruit and with a warming finish. Excellent strong belgian ale that reminds me of De Dolle.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 bgiamatei (317) - São Paulo, BRAZIL - FEB 28, 2008
Cerveja forte. Cheiro bom de malte. Coloração dourado escuro. Espuma branco neve, sem grande formação e sem muito presença. Sabor levemente adocicado, sem presença de fermento, aveludada e frisante - tons de caramelo. Forte. Não me surpreendeu.
