Brown color with an off-white head. Aroma moderate to heavy malty (roasted, nutty, burnt, light notes of spices), light hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body, soft carbonated. Not much Christmas over this, but very drinkable.

Clear medium brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, nutty, burnt notes. Flavor is moderate to light light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090517]

Bottled. Reddish brown coloured. Small light brown head. Roast, flowers and sweetness in the aroma. Flavour is fruity and light spicy. Touch of liqourice and light roast. Medium bodied. Sweet and light caramelly end.

Clear brown with a tiny off white head. Aroma had roasted malt, caramel and sasdpicy notes. Flavour was sweet with ropasted malt, burned caramel and anise hints of chocolate. Finished sweet.

2008 edition at Københavnske Øldage 09. Fawn coloured head resting on top of a deep russet body. Plain smell of sweet, slightly roasted, dark malts. Malty sweetness in flavour with hints of cocoa, liquorice and dry herbal notes. Ends with discreet hop bitterness. Medium bodied. Sweet and nice (16.05.2009).
