Pinball (255), Allerød, Denmark Jun 12, 2008 aroma:what?, appearance and palate is acceptable, flavor is like okay i get the roasted stuff flavor, but is there anything else???. in my view a rather thin and boring porter. trapez (168), Hilleroed, Denmark Jun 2, 2008 Botlle 0.5 l. Bought Kvickly Ringsted. Roasted malt and dark chocolate in the aroma. Very slightly smoked and malty taste. The three malts - barley, rye and chocolate are well balanced. Hops are hidden. soft carbonation. Mouthfeel more thin than would be expected from a porter. kramer17801 (1846), sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 30, 2008 Pours a clear dark brown with some hints of garnet under a fizzy one finger brown head that faded to a wispy film. The nose is giving off a lot of roasted malt and cocoa, but there’s also a touch of a sour mash note and some cola. The flavor is pretty thin with acrid burnt malt and a good amount of astringency. A little heavy on the fruitiness for the style as well. Some weak coffee and burnt chalkiness on the finish. Mouthfeel is watery in texture and on the thin side. Moderate fizzy soft carbonation. Overall, not the best Porter, but it was drinkable. Not worth seeking out too hard for though. gunnfryd (2662), Kristiansand, Norway Jan 27, 2008 Bottle. Red brown colour with a tan head. Aroma is roasted, mocha, coffee. Flavour is roasted, coffee, fruit, mocha. Nice beer, but coul be more. yngwie (3342), Kristiansand, Norway Jan 21, 2008 Bottle. A deep ruby, brownish beer with a tan head. Chalky, slightly sourish aroma with a good dash of mocha and coffee. Sweetish, yet coffee-dry flavor with chocolate. Medium to full body. It finishes with a lasting, roasted, chocolate flavor. A nice beer, but not too interesting. Except for the ABV, it’s almost sessionable. (071123)
