Ungstrup (11075), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 11, 2007 Bottled. An unclear dark reddish-brown beer with a huge orange-brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of citrus, chocolate, and coffee. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of chocolate, strong acidic coffee, vegetables, and roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted finish, where notes of coffee and vegetables lingers around. The body is thin inspite of the 6.1% ABV. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 5, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear, warm, orangey brown with a beige head. Roasted malt and a touch of nuts in the nose. Surprisingly thin body, lightly burned malts with a vague, underlying tartness and a fairly bitter finish. This doesn’t really have the body or the malt base to be a substantial porter in my eyes. 280607 yespr (6259), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 4, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours deep brown with a red hue and a creamy, lasting and light brown head. Roasted malt and slight bitter aroma. Coffee rosted malt flavour. Has some breadlike notes and a chocolate softness. Slight sweet and bitter towards the finish. Solid porter. joergen (6257), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 28, 2007 Bottle.
