2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
640ml bottle @ Shrewsbury Beer Share, March 16, many thanks to blackhaddock! Myanmar tick is in the bag. Pours clear gold, white head. Basically a smooth, lightly sweet lager with not a lot else going on. Dangerously drinkable, is this really 8%? Expected worse.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
640ml bottle shared between five at the March 2016 Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group meeting. Supplied by me from a friend who had just visited Myanmar. Looked fine, golden, clean and clear, on top a snow white head, Corn and grain lead in the aroma and taste, but it had something about it which I liked (maybe the 8% ABV helped), it wasn’t your average ’Tramp Juice’ that is for sure.

Can from a Mandalay supermarket. Clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of sweet malt, alcohol, chemical notes and a caramel touch. Flavour is light moderate sweet and light bitter. Above light bodied with light carbonation.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Fairly standard adjunct developing nation malt liquor. Decent color, bit too dark. Cleaner than expected and not too harsh for 8%. Overall surprisingly drinkable.

bottle at Karaweik Restaurant. Pours a clear dark gold color. Slightly perfumy aroma. Medium body. Initial slight hint of hops fades quickly as sweet flavor balance and alcohol character dominates the flavor profile. Sadly, no malt or hop presence.

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
640ml bottle bought in sittwe. Had this when it was warm so my rating isn’t going to be that great. Will probably have to try it again when cold but I can’t be bothered to spend 40p on another. Poured quitea dark yellow compared to the other beers I’ve had here so far. Aroma is sweet, malty and that’s about it. Taste was horrible eggs and soap mixed with grass. I didn’t finish this.

Meh. Better than the regular version as it has a bit more of something going on.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Huge thanks to Betty from work for bringing me back this from her vacation. Pours deep gold and surprisingly didn’t gush after the flight. Nose is sweet corny and malt. Tastes of berries, Swedish fish, corn, nice malt, and pleasant alcohol. It mixes the combo of malt liquor attributes in pleasant way. This isn’t too bad at all hope to get to drink locally someday.

Can. This is pretty gross stuff. Sweet and plastcy with a long lingering sacrine finish.
