On cask at the 1/27/07 Atlanta Cask Ale Tasting: Pours a slightly hazy copper bronze with a thin ring of white bubbles. Sweet fresh grapefruity hoppy aroma has a good toasty crystal malty balance and good oaky notes. Body starts fairly full and pale malty sweet with some fresh grapefruity hoppy balance and earthy, drier oaky flavor without much actual bourbon character. A nice brew.

Light amber color with aroma of whiskey and rye. Flavor is malty smooth with som burbon up front that blends into rye and hops.

Sample at Atlanta Cask ale. I got lots of vanilla and citrus off this one as well. The whiskey aging added complexity. Very hazy deep orange color.

This beer wasn’t what I expected at all. The wiskey aging was extremely subtle. Tasted slightly of wood with some vanilla and lots of citrus. The finish had some hoppiness.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 aracauna (2691) - Georgia, USA - JAN 28, 2007
Pours a hazed amber. there is a mellow hoppiness with a great orangey character. There’s a slight spiciness from the rye and the barrel ageing is faint, making this interesting more than anything else. Tasty.
