Finn (1030), Tromsø, Norway Jan 30, 2008 Bottle 0,33l. Dark red-brown colored. A large creamy head. Modest fruity aroma. Some burned malty flavor with a sweet bitter finish. No feeling of Christmas in this one. gunnfryd (2638), Kristiansand, Norway Mar 10, 2007 Bottle. Brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is roasted, malt, caramel. Flavour is sweet, roasted, malt, caramel, hop. Ok this type of christmasbeer. tykjen (183), Florø, Norway Dec 26, 2006 Dry finish with some hops makes this 4,5% Christmas Beer better than many of its sweeter competitors. Deep copper color. Not too heavy on the malt, but quite drinkable. martinboer (1243), Amsterdam, Netherlands Dec 25, 2006 Bottle at Christmas in Oslo. A nice Vienna which smells a lot like red wine. It has a caramel and syrupy taste. My brother in law tasted 18 Juleols this season and said Dahls came out on tops. I think the Frydenland is also quite good. Beer_2000 (1114), Kristiansand, Norway Nov 23, 2006 330ml bottle. Nice dark red body with a thick reddish head. Sweet malty aroma. Flavor is sweet, slightly roasted with some bitterness. Medium aftertaste. Nice lager, no Christmast beer.
