Draught at Craft Heads. Yellow pale cloudy with small thin white head. Looks bit like a wheat beer. Aroma is ultra yeasty, sweet and weird, bit of bubblegum (sorachi ace?). Tastes like a lovely sweet saison with bubblegum and citrus. Some banana too. Spritzy in the mouth. Strange, interesting and very nice beer.

Keg, BeerFest Daisen, 23/09/11. Deep, Bavarian-accented, heavily peppered clove, lemon curd and banana aroma. Pale and fully hazed with a slim, fine-lacing head. Full, peppered banana taste with some dusty parsley, coriander-like spice (local grown Cascade)? Totally convincing hefe-witbier-weizenbock mash-up. Didn’t get the sake rice, but then I wouldn’t know what I was looking for. Beer of The Festival for me, and possibly the beer of my Japanese long weekend.

Draught at 2010 Best Beer Selection, Osaka. Pretty, glowing, light yellow color with lace. Spicy, fruity aroma with rice and sake notes. Sweet, grainy flavor, with lemon, banana, estery, complex, and interesting, with a good bitter finish Very drinkable.
