Papsoe (10232), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 10, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of yngwie. Pours almost clear amber golden with an off-white head leaving some lacework. Tart and fruity nose. Light-bodied with discreet notes of fruit and caramel and a fairly dry and bitter finish. Not exactly convincing. 030608 yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 8, 2008 50 cL bottle. Clear light amber color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, toasted, roasted, dusty, light hoppy. Flavor is light to moderate sweet, light light acidic and light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (120408) Maria (4321), Thisted, Denmark Apr 18, 2008 Tasting at my place. Courtesy of Enjoyit. Orange golden with a nice head. the aroma has notes of malt, fruit and hops. The flavour has sweetness, notes of fruit, citrus, caramel and the bitterness is slightly dry and citrussy. IMO it’s more British ale like than a dunkel. yngwie (3602), Kristiansand, Norway Feb 27, 2008 Bottle. (thx tarjei) Pours a reddish brown, clear body with a small, but fine, off-white head. Caramel, a light fruityness from the hops, and a little pale-malty touch. Quite bitter in the finish. As the aroma, the flavor is quite weak, but there’s a pronounced hoppy bitterness in addition to caramel and some lightly roasted malt. Medium to thin body. Quite dry finish with a little fruityness. Quite boring actually, but sure not bad. (080227)
