COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2007 Rerate, 500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal pub, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. The brewery now say this is a beer of low fermentation, inspired by both English ales and German dunkels, but they still call it an "ale". Oh well .. A dunkel it is, I guess. (But the first trial batch served at Gladmatfestivalen they said was top fermented ...) Amber to copper coloured beer, large off-white head. Nice fruity aroma, also notes of malts and caramel. Soft mouthfeel. Malty flavour with caramel, a slight fruitiness too, very moderate hops. Original rating: Draught at Gladmatfestivalen 2007, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Dark copper coloured beer, creamy head. Malty aroma with some caramel. Malty and well rounded flavour with a moderate but sufficient bitterness, which becomes very distinct in the finish.

Flaske 0,5l som Rune spanderte. Gyldenbrun på farge. Høyt kremaktig skum som varer en god stund. Litt uklar. En behagelig svakt fruktig aroma. Smaken er svakt krydret og litt syrlig. Fruktig ettersmak. KI=1

500ml bottle, best before 10.07.2010, bought at Fenaknoken in Oslo. Pale, amber-brown in body appearance. Off-white head leaving spotty lacing on the glass. Slightly roasted malts to the nose. Taste of sweet dark malts with herbal dryness behind. A bit thin on the swallow, otherwise quite alright for a dunkel (shared with Finn, 21.04.2010).

Bottle, 50cl, from Fenaknoken, Oslo. BB 10.07.10. Fine head, hazy amber colour. Spicy/fruity aroma. Ale character with some malts and fruits in the flavour. Lager-like bitterness in the finish, but not much aftertaste. Definitely OK.

No aroma at all. It has malty slight bitter taste, yet very refreshing. Pale brown colour. Ok for once.

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a light beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of berries. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and dusty hops as well as lighter notes of caramel.

03.05.2009, 0,5l Bottle, BB 11.11.09. Amber brown colour. Head is firm and light brown. Aroma is a little roasted malty. There is also a little sweetnes. Hops are well balanced. I think this is a very nice beer, but I dont think it is a typical ale.

500 ml bottle. Dark amber. Slightly hazy. Tall off-white fluffy head that clings to the glass. Distinct lager yeast aroma. Floral hops and somewhat nutty münchener malts. Gentle nutty malt flavours, but the body is on the lighter side. Hints of bread and caramel. Nicely balanced with a light bitterness that comes forward towards the end. Easily drinkable, and with quite a bit of flavour. A nice everyday lager, also it has a bit of a ale quality to it as well. Thanks tarjei.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of yngwie. Pours almost clear amber golden with an off-white head leaving some lacework. Tart and fruity nose. Light-bodied with discreet notes of fruit and caramel and a fairly dry and bitter finish. Not exactly convincing. 030608
