Dark brown pour with a khaki head. Nice oak, vanilla, and roasted malt aromas. Dark fruit, cocoa, and maybe some banana. Some hints of whiskey and coffee. Nice sweet flavor of milk chocolate and vanilla. Oak, mild whiskey, dark fruit, and roast. Some light acidity and tartness on the finish.

Draft at the source. Hazy dark brown color, thick beige head with good retention. Aroma of coffee grounds, subtle vanilla. Taste has vanilla, buttersotch, whiskey, but not over the top. Interesting.

18 jan 2013, tap at Dale Bros brewery. Dark walnut. Nose is dark woody notes are huge! Thin body and moderately fizzy. Mild ovaltine, some tart wood, milk chocolate. Decent.
