COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Dude of York is a very California take on a classic Yorkshire beer, brewed with English ingredients and fermented with our signature lager yeast. It has clean grain flavors, a floral nose from East Kent Golding and Fuggles hops, and a crisp finish. The result is a tasty medium bodied beer that will go well with your favorite foods -- from Yorkshire pudding to pineapple pizza.

A: The beer pours a clear golden orange color with a finger or so of white head and some mild lacing. S: Smells like nothing for the most part. There is some faint bread and malt in the background, perhaps a tinge of butter. Mild hops, but they’re fairly strong on the grass notes. T: The flavor is similarly mild and unimpressive. Some pale malts and bread flavor giving a bit of sweetness. Definitely some butter along with the herbal and grassy hop flavors. Very mild bitterness. M: Light to medium in body with a medium level of carbonation. O: I’ve had old/expired imported English bitters that were better than this.

GABF 09. Pours a slight hazed light copper with med head. Aroma is earthy, tea-like with some cardboardy malts, light toast, and some gritty grains- slight corny? Flavor is dusty, earthy cardboard malts, some herbal hops, grass and more tea, kinda flowery. This experiment (half lager half ESB) just didn’t work for me.

Aroma is toasted bread, black tea, and a hint of skunky ganj’- weird. Flavor is nice and dry with a bit more of that black tea coming through. Nice.

Pours a one finger white head that fades quickly leaving a trace of lace. Light carbonation and light bodied. Clear amber color. Nose is light hops. Flavor is mildly hoppy, maybe some caramel. Slightly dry finish. Mellower than their Pomona Queen still not worth $4.49 for a 22oz bottle from Liquorama Upland, CA.

22oz bottle. Rating #9. Medium to dark yellow pour with a decent white head. Grainy malty aroma, pretty clean. Clean mouthfeel, very smooth, light malts and a pretty decent overall. (1275)

Bottle. Poured a cloudy amber color; with a smallish white head. Aroma of bread, toasted malt, yeast, earth and fruit. Flavor of sweet malt and buttered bread; not sure if this is what they were going for. A bit of floral and earthy hops. Easy to drink, but not great flavor. Ok for the style.
