Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Metal and bread on the aroma with a little bit of yeast. Maybe some earthy notes to it as well. Sweet malt, cardboard, a bit of sugar, and some yeast. There is also a little bit of metal on the finish. Just meh at best.

Bomber from Secret Santa Saarlander - thanks, Aaron! This is a style I still just can’t quite warm to, even when it’s moderately tweaked as this one is. Handsome pour, chestnut to amber, with a fluffy head. Rich, malty nose seems to style and the flavors are a touch less boring that the usual, with a dose of hops and a yeasty twist. But still quite bland.

22oz bottle. Rating #7. Clear medium brown pour with a sticky off white head. Nice toasted malt aroma, lightly sweet. Clean toasted malts again, dark caramel and pretty tasty overall. (2067)

I had this beer on tap at Orange County Brew Ha Ha in Irvine, CA.
It was sweet w/ a hoppy finish, more bitter than I like in an O-fest

Bottle shared by alexanderj. Brown pour. Aroma and flavor have a strange perfumey malt and sweet grain. Same flavor present in other brewpub beers, with sweetness that seems fictional.

on tap at papago... dark auburn brown yet still clear with a soft creamy white head and lots of webby lacing. the aroma is very caramel-y and sweet with just a slight touch of roasty grainy dryness. palate is overly sweet and malty/grainy which makes for an unimaginative and weary brew. a touch of spice and some VERY mild bitterness show up on the finish. medium to full bodied from the sugars with a prickly mouth feel from high carbonation.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 LtDan (1484) - Los Angeles County, California, USA - OCT 26, 2008
Sampled at Corner Butcher Shop in LaVerne,CA. Poured a dark auburn. Sweetness in the aroma, and the flavor was almost overtaken by the sweet malts. Needed more hops in what was an otherwise great attempt at the style. The mouthfeel was nearing sticky. Too pricy and too sweet.
