COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Runway I.P.A. is our first flight into the wild blue yonder of ales. While we thought that we may keep our feet firmly planted exclusively in the world of lagers we have been producing since 2003, over the years customers have been imploring us to brew a Dale Bros. version of an I.P.A. We are happy to say their wait is over. Runway I.P.A. takes off with four hop additions in the brew kettle, then brings it in for a landing with multiple dry hop additions. The flavor and aroma are courtesy of Summit, Galaxy and Cascade hops. Place your tray table in the upright and locked position -- here we go!

(22oz bomber from Saarlander!). Pours a hazy orange-amber color with off-white head that leaves some sticky lacing. Aroma has some malt, resin and a bit of tropical notes. The taste is sweet with dried apricot coming through. Medium bodied and a creamy mouthfeel. Pretty decent and I’d be able to drink a couple pints of this in a sitting and be quite happy.

Pour from a bomber thanks to Tim. Golden and murky orange in color. Modest white head. The aromas were actually very nice with probably the dry hops of galaxy etc. Some good lemon, orange, grapefruit on the nose. Flavors were mildly bitter and balanced sweetness. Mouthfeel maybe on the thin side and a quick finish. A bit more of a bitter hop blast would have been nice. Overall pleasantly surprised.

22oz bomber. Rating #3. Clear, dark brown/orange color with a nice white head and moderate lacing. Light hoppy aroma, but what aroma is there is big grapefruit, juicy grapefruit at that, very pleasant. Light bitterness with more sweet grapefruit and a mild aftertaste, pretty nice actually. (2066)

On Tap at The Blackwatch pub,Upland,ca, Pours dull Orange with a slight head, Grapefruit, Resin, hops dominate, sticky on the lips, it does creep up on you abit, very quaffable. Good.

Bomber from my Secret Santa - thanks, Saarlander! Nice vibrant orange pour, with just a hint of sediment and a thick, creamy head. Nose is very soft, floral, and sweet. Mouthfeel is medium, a bit too slick in places. Flavors tend to be a bit too much on the sweet, sticky side, which is unfortunate for a session brew that needs balance. Would that there were a bit more dry, herbal bitters in there. As is it was still decently enjoyable, but perhaps D Bros are still a bit away from hitting their stride with this brew.
