COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed using a range of European malts, a trio of American hops and an American Ale yeast, this beer combines smooth caramel and toasty notes with suggestions of ripe stonefruit and aromatic pine resins. It finishes with a brisk and appetising bitterness.

Nice amber, a style I’m really starting to dig. Carbonation at the finish was indeed prickly, but this had the effect of stopping the great flavours ingratiating themselves across the whole palate.

On tap @ Pomeroy. New Zealand holiday 2011-12. Old notes. The aroma has maltiness, some caramel. Clear, amber coloured beer with a thin, off-white head. The taste is light - moderate bitter, bit malty, some resinous hops there.

The head is ok, the body red. It smells hoparomatic, sweet, fruity, bit bitter. The taste is hoparomatic, fruity, bit flowery-bitter, bit fruity-bitter, fresh and nice.

Pours a dark brick red and has good clarity. Malt and hints of caramel prevalent and is quite soft and creamy on the palate. Little bit of bitterness on the back palate.

Small head. Fruity smell. Too sweet, not enough hops. Aroma that balances on the edge of yukkie. I expected more.

Hazy amber colour with thick fluffy white head. Spritzy citrus/berry flavour. Short hop bitterness with creamy finish.

It’s nicely bitter too, just about the right amount that offsets the sweet malt. It’s good. This would be a fine session beer. Not spectacular but solid, you could go a lot worse
