3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The head is medium, the body orange, red. It smells hoparomatic, bitter, ok. The taste is hoppy, bitter, bit aomatic, malty, bit fruity. OK

This is a style I have a tremendous amount of affection for. It is part of a cultural heritage I embrace from afar and a good example of the style is a very precious thing to me indeed.
This one was sampled from bottle and appeared golden amber in colour with a temporary greyish white head. The aromas suggest good classic English malt aromas of marmalade, apricots, peaches and golden tart. Thereís some orange orchard apples varieties as well. This is all manifest in the flavour along with the slight toffeeish, biscuity flavour and mild mouthfeel. Bitterness is subtle to subdued but flavour abounds, as does my enjoyment of this beer.
This is a bloody good nudge actually.

iím really starting to like this genre, the esb. always so fruity and smooth. and while this isnít my favourite of the style, itís still rather good. just a little muted compared to some of the others iíve had.
