On tap at Zelena Kocka (03/03/13). Dark brown pour, white head. Aroma is phenolic, maybe the most plagued of all. Aromas of grapes and plums, sweet cherries are also present but the phenolic background makes it all a tad medicinal. Taste is mineral, light roastiness, fruity sweetness. Unfortunately, this one will not be remembered in a positive way.

My Bottom Line:
Rubbery phenolics adorn this Tmavy’s roasted malt and herbal hop combo, as grape and cherry fruitiness attempt to salvage what could have been a very nice brew.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A fluffy head of foam decorates the reddish dark brown.
-An acidic touch is felt in the back.
-The soft, natural-feeling carbonation creates a very satisfying mouthfeel.
-Tobacco and earthy notes appear in the second half.
-The finish is relatively dry.

On tap at Zelena Kocka, Brno.

Guessing it’s the same as this one :)
Hazy dark brown color, big fluffy tan head. Malty, buttery, metallic, bitter hoppy taste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel. High bitterness. Fruity herbal scent.

Draught at "Zelena kocka", Brno: Very deep amber coloured, mid-sized beige head with a good lace; solid sweet caramalty nose with toasted/roasted edges; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; clean, caramell to dark-malty finish with a faint tinge of coffee in the aftertaste. Pleasant and good............

(Draught at Pivovarsky Klub, Prague, 19 July, labeled "Dalesicky Fledermaus Tmavy Special 13". 5,3%. I think it’s the right one, correct me if not) Dark brown colour with creamy, pale brown head. Malty, creamy nose with notes of chocolate and coffee. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate and creamy coffee. Tasty, well balanced beer with creamy, rounded mouthfeel. Very nice.

on tap at the brewery cellar, a really nice place. anyways, cola colour, lingering off-white head, aroma of licorice and plum, plenty of roasted character for a czech dark, buttery texture, only the faintest sweetness, good burnt bitterness, quite tasty
