2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 JulienHuxley (1708) - Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 14, 2013
On tap at Zelena Kocka (03/03/13). Light hazy gold pour, white head that recedes. Slightly phenolic aroma, yeasty, yeast autolysis, dirty, rubbery notes, light grain. Taste is grainy, lots of yeast (not in a good way), slightly bitter. Palate is smooth. Not quite a pass.
3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 MartinT (6934) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 10, 2013
My Bottom Line:
Soft honeyed malts are balanced out by herbal hops and their bitterness, a pleasant union marred by a rubbery, exceedingly phenolic nose.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam tops the misty honeyed golden.
-Drinkability would have been very high if not for the unapologetic rubbery aroma.
-Mouthfeel is slick, oily.
-Hay appears in the finish.
On tap at Zelena Kocka, Brno.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Quack-Duck (6811) - Down South, GERMANY - OCT 9, 2012
draught at "Tak chutná Ceska republika"- festival on Wencels Square. Hazy golden colour, creamy white head with a lovely Saaz aroma. Medium-bodied, smooth palate and with delicious hop flavours.

draft. softer, richer and creamier than the filtrovany, and less buttery diacetyl as well, always a plus. doughy yeast, frothy carbonation though a bit fizzy late, as well as chewy and sweet. better than the filtered version, and this one certainly is in better shape, but both are a bit timid and the hop character is definitely lacking. they both also lack the richness and creaminess that you see in better svelty.

I’m guessin this is the right one, had it as "Dalesicky pivo Granat 11°" but it was pale golden, so think it’s the lezak and not a new beer. In Brno on May 18, 2009 Hazy pale golden color, fluffy white head. Butterscotch and sweet caramel scent. Thin malty and butterscotch taste. A bit thin mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

Draught at "Zelena kocka" in Brno: Distinctive pale-malty nose (almost bready) with a solid aromatic-hoppy touch; clean moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; short bitter-sweet finish with hoppy edges. A nice Bohemian Pilsener......

on tap at the brewery. quite a pale shade of golden with a faint haze and a light bubbled head. slightly yeasty banana aroma, quite muted for a kvasnicovy, light apple skin bitterness. drinkable but not one of the more interesting examples of the style
