On tap at Zelena Kocka (03/03/13). Dark, slightly hazy, gold pour with frothy white head. Grainy nose, some of the same problems as the other two svetles, not as bad as kvasnicovy however. Light honey aroma and flavor, light herbal hop bite in the finish. Palate is good, nice and creamy. Drinkable.

My Bottom Line:
Lightly dusty honeyed malts benefit from some herbal hop bitterness to balance out the finish, but that same rubbery nose cannot be avoided. A common problem for Dalesicky Pivovar, or rare occurrence ?

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy sheet of foam tops the dark amber haze.
-Again, rubbery phenolics marred this Dalesicky brew’s nose. Same in all 4 that evening being served at Zelena Kocka Dalesické Pivovarsky Restaurace.
-All problems aside, this tasted like a weak Heller Bock.
-Carbonation felt natural and the mouthfeel was convincingly comfortable.

On tap at Zelena Kocka, Brno.

draught at "Tak chutná Ceska republika"- festival on Wencels Square, the word májovy was not mentioned. Hazy golden colour, creamy white head. Intensive malty base with a grainy touch, pleasant saaz hops in the finish. Similar to their 11° with a more powerful malt base.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2014 Tap at Zelena kocka. Aroma caramel, honeyish, light hops. White head, sjlhort duration. Clear deep golden colour. Taste is more on the bitter side. The hops flavour is somewhat rough, earthy. Also metallic and some staleness. Initially some caramel. I remain unimpressed. Average.

Tap at Zly Casy. Clear gold pour. Aroma is full of bread and a touch of cheesecloth. Flavor has good pils character with good kick at the finish. Nice.

On tap. Slightly hazy amber golden with a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel, fruit and butter. Medium body, low carbonation and sweet caramel. Lightly bitter finish. Fortunately the butter notes remained in the nose only. 270608
