Hildigöltur (5055), København Ø, Denmark May 13, 2008 Bottled. Black coloured with a pretty head.Loads of sweet chocolate and quite some coffee in the aroma and in the flavour. Quite sweet. Soft mouthfeel. Rather mild and pleasant.
Kavu (80), Jyväskylä, Finland Dec 20, 2008 Pours very dark red with a brown foamy head. Aroma is quite typical roasted malts with perhaps a hint of the promised chocolate. The flavor is too bitter and acidic for my liking and there isnt enough chocolate. Decent. mikkopen (161), Oulu, Finland Dec 6, 2008 500 ml bottle. Deep dark reddish brown colour, creamy beige head. Dry, roasted aroma with plenty of dark chocolate. The flavour is burnt, a little acidc, with dark chocolate and coffee. Short, ashy finish. Medium-bodied, smoothly but richly carbonated. A little too sour for me, but a quite nice stout nevertheless, especially concidering the low alcohol content. ante (2591), Stockholm, Sweden Sep 10, 2008 Bottled at Monks Cafe, Stockholm. Dark brown with a creamy tan-colored foam. Quite rich and smooth aroma of dark chocolate, molasses, oats, honey and cinnamon. Medium-to light-bodied with acidic notes of burnt malts and black chocolate. medium-bitter finish of black chocolate, burnt malts and mild smoke. A bit more chewy mouthfeel, then this would be quite amazing. TheGrandMaster (1617), Auckland, New Zealand Aug 20, 2008 Bottle (in NZ), pours black with a large pillowy brown head. Roasted malt on the nose, with plenty of chocolate and slightly buttery. Lots of chocolate in the malty palate as well, a smooth texture with some smokiness in the finish. I would happily drink a few of these. punainen6 (81), Finland Aug 19, 2008
Bottle. rich brown body, with creamy head. Taste has milk with some dark chocolate and tobacco in a nice tight package. Overall feels quite light, could use some more smoked taste to it.
