JDW Rochester - Saturday breakfast. Roasty best bitter with a watery finish. Good nutty stout, with nicely integrated hops, but the swallow is disappointing.

Cask at the County Hotel (JDW), Ashford. Mid brown with a loose white head; vegetable aroma; bitter herbal taste; and a dry finish. I didn’t get on with this at all.

Cask handpul at County Hotel JDW Ashford. Clear deepish brown chestnut colour with lasting beige head. Some spice on this. Reminded me of sausages. Nalts are fine. Not overly keen on the spice. Spice is herby like you get in sausages
