COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Congress Ale is brewed using a complex mix of malts and hops producing a well-balanced, traditional Yorkshire beer. Its nutty flavour and subtle hoppy aroma gives way to a satisfyingly gentle bitterness. Congress Ale is specially brewed for the International Medieval Congress, organised by the Institute for Medieval Studies at the University of Leeds. The Congress attracts over 1400 participants from all over the world and is the biggest event of its kind in Europe.

At least three full pints, cask conditioned, and one bottle during IMC (International Medieval Congress), University of Leeds. Daleside was one of the sponsors of the Congress and had made this brew for the IMC. Pours a deep golden brown body to a bright shiny surface. Sweet, malt-fruity aroma. Has also got a sweet, caramel malty taste profile with notes of resin-like hops coming through, developing into a nice bitter ending. Good session beer. The Bar at IMC 12-15 July 2010.
