2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 mutant (854) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 13, 2005
Bottled. Quite a strong sweet, malty aroma. Light chestnut colour but no head. Flavour contains some maltiness but lacks intensity. Lightly carbonated, very thick and syrupy texture. Absolutely no bitterness detected. This brew may be more about the label than the contents.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 TomSpears (65) - Norfolk, ENGLAND - MAR 1, 2005
A faded orange with a lace head. Hand pulled as the lads like it. Good bodied - trembling slightly. Nice movement. Full and scrumptious in the mouth. Flavours and all that. Enjoyable to the last drop.

Amber color with no head. The taste is a sweet malty and spicy base with a very light bitter finish.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 bluevegie (3004) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - OCT 28, 2004
Bitterness shows first followed by lingering fruity sweetness. Alcohol is there but not too upfront, the colour is honey copper with an off-white head and some layers of lacing. Some caramel, grain and a hint of grapefruit.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 ante (3374) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 27, 2003
UPDATED: SEP 26, 2006 Dark amber with an avarge white head. Sweet caramel malts and dried fruits in aroma. Pretty sweet and malty flavour. Well-balanced with a good hop bite.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 rauchbier (3394) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - NOV 14, 2002
Bottled. Copper bronze, moderate long lasting rocky head and good condition. Reasonable balance of fruity malt and hop aromas. Full bodied and malt accented with some hop flavour to stop it becoming unbalanced. Finishes sweetly.
2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 pilsnerrogge (2271) - Finspång, SWEDEN - AUG 2, 2002
Nice, dark copper-colour. Pleasant caramel-ish aroma. The flavour starts off in a caramel-ish way but is soon overtaken by the taste of bitter almonds. The bitter almonds get more and more dominant and after half a bottle my taste buds raise the white flag screaming: ’Please, please no more off this!!’
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Oakes (10935) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - DEC 2, 2001
Chewy maltiness, earthy palate, sweet accent in the finish. I found it a straightforward English pale, a little stronger and chewier than most.

A bit strange, but so is it obviously ment to be since malted oats is used. I wouøldn’t say that it’s what I call well balanced, but it’s definitely interesting. On the sweet side. Good volume. A bit burned taste. Not long and dry, but OK bitter aftertaste.
