Bottle; Clear deep red colour, with a nice head. Aroma of öost of sweet malts, caramel, choclate,a d some butter and metalic nose in the end. Flavor is cramel, and some choclate nots, reminds me of a typical dark lager, not an Ale(is this Ale?) Thin body and a short caramelly finish.

Eyedrinkale (3214) - Astoria, New York, USA - JUN 15, 2008
Bottle. Toasty caramel malts abound in the aroma. Tight, dense head. Flavor is really metallic with burnt malts and some cocoa. I can’t get past the metal taste, so down the drain it goes.

screwball (1098) - Motala, SWEDEN - JUN 1, 2008
Bottle. Pours very dark brown. Aroma and taste is malty and has some wood. Also some hops in the aroma. The malt is litte to burnt and the finish is to dry and harsh.

Cask at the Bricklayers Arms, 18th April 2008. Brown in colour, still, with little head. Fruity aroma but a malty caramel taste. A herb flavour kicks in late.

Gusgus (219) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - MAY 25, 2008
Bottle. Small, malty and fruity aroma with some sourness. Medium body. Soft malt and fruits, typical english hop flavor, but it’s on the low side. Average beer, and not what I would prefer of a strong bitter.

Marsiblursi (2952) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 23, 2008
UPDATED: MAY 24, 2008 (Bottle) Pours a clear light brown to dark red colour with a small off white head. The aroma is of typical English beer fruitiness, rather raw with an apple/orange like character. The malty notes are nutty, mild chocolaty and a bit caramelly. Some light resiny and mild grass like hop tones. Bit white wine vinous on the nose. The flavour is light raw with mild resiny/grassy/spicy hops, caramelly/toasted malt, light white wine tart-ish and an orange and apple-ish fruitiness. The mouthfeel have a soft carbonation and quite a silky profile to back it up. Medium bodied. Aftertaste of smooth toasted and light caramelly malt alongside hints of grassy/resiny hops. If you have a good UK beer, please send it to me, otherwise I will continue to drink great US beer instead.
