50cl bottle from Systembolaget. Best before 2010-02. It poured an amber orange colour with a medium big foamy light-brown head that settled down slowly in the glass. The aroma is fruity with notes of sweet roasted malts. The flavour is also sweet with notes of caramel, some unspecified fruit and roasted malts. It has a short aftertaste. Nothing special, but an overall nice and very drinkable beer.

Good amber colour with a thin white lace. Rich brown sugar aroma. Slightly malty. Thin texture, which was not expected. A little metallic to start but settles to a rich, syrup like one. Caramel finish.

Weak aroma of dark malt. Color is a clear dark brown with ruby highlights, and a two-finger khaki head that quickly dissipates. Smooth malty flavor with dark fruits pulling through in the finish and a sweet aftertaste. Low carbonation and kind of watery. Nice.

Location: 500 ml bottle from Gilly’s, 4/21/09

Aroma: Nose is mostly dark fruity hops, with the malts, and caramel scents in there as well
Appearance: Reddish brown, dark looking beer
Flavor: Nice sweetness to this one, similar to the nose, except the caramel and malts are slightly stronger and the fruit fades in and mixes with the rest of the flavors
Palate: Medium body, drinks pretty nicely and quickly
Overall Impression: I thought this one was pretty nice, a good flavor, and a smooth drink. A little lighter then I would have guessed from the appearance. Overall though, a very nice beer.

500ml bottle. Dark amber pour with a beige head. Nutty earth nose, sweet caramel tones. Wisps of fruity esters. Sweet malty flavor, a bit of fruit, caramel and earth. I found this rather tasty and quaffable. Pretty well done.

lagomswedish (213) - Umeĺ, SWEDEN - MAR 28, 2009
Bottle from the Systembolaget in Umeĺ. This is the sort of beer I miss living over here in Sweden - a thoroughly drinkable strong(ish) ale with bags of character. Pours a dark mahogony brown with aromas of rich black berries and a hint of coffee and smoke. Thick and rather flat mouthfeel and medium sweet middle. A smooth and balanced beer.
