Sigmund (6643) - Tau, NORWAY - JUN 21, 2007
500 ml bottle, bought in Scarborough. Possibly filtered, but probably not pasteurised. ABV is 5.3%. As a cask ale it was voted "Champion Winter Beer of Britain 1998". Chestnut coloured beer, rich off-white to beige head. Very nice malty aroma with oaky and vinous notes, also caramel and dark fruits. Malty flavour with caramel, some raisiny and vinous notes, moderate hops. Moderate carbonation, soft mouthfeel. A pleasant beer to drink.

FROTHINGSLOSH (6621) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 7, 2007
Sampled from a 16.9 oz brown bottle this beer poured a brown color with ruby highlights and a small khaki head that faded quickly. The aroma was light sour malts and fruity hops. The flavor was malty, vaguely sour and tangy with a light caramel element. The mouthfeel was a bit thin and watery.

ekstedt (6489) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 2, 2008
Bottle (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear copper with a medium off-white stable head. Quite anonymous malt aroma, some dried fruits and herbal and earthy hops. Medium bodied and smooth. Dry finish.

Braudog (6290) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - OCT 27, 2007
Bottle: Poured a woodsy, orange-tinged brown color with a thin, creamy, pock-marked head. The aroma is creamy, yet nutty. This drinks with a malty underbelly, but the upfront character has notes of nuts, dried fruit, and light caramel. The mouthfeel is uniquely creamy, in the British style. Nice session beer. BlackHaddock (6211) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 7, 2012
Hand pulled pint at a Spoons in Tamworth before a Grimsby Town night match on 27th March 2012. Ruby/mid-brown coloured brew with an off-white head of closely knit bubbles. Aroma was both malty and fruity. Taste wise: it was again malty and fruity, a drier hop bitterness comes late on the palate but this is a primary a malty brew. Body depth is good and the alcohol sits well within the whole feel.

Clear, coppery brown, nice foamy head. Clean, bready toasty aroma, maybe a hint of burnt toast, as well. Similiar foacvor, maybe a touch watery. Notes of coffee, black tea, maybe some winey notes, too. Union Jacks, Knoxville, bottle.
