Poured a maple brown with a white head from the bottle. Initial aroma was sugary sweet and malty. Taste was surprisingly pleasant, roasted malt, brown sugar, a little bit of orange citrus. Finish is clean, not at all bitter. I can’t imagine anyone would dislike this beer.

Braudog (6041) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - OCT 27, 2007
Bottle: Poured a woodsy, orange-tinged brown color with a thin, creamy, pock-marked head. The aroma is creamy, yet nutty. This drinks with a malty underbelly, but the upfront character has notes of nuts, dried fruit, and light caramel. The mouthfeel is uniquely creamy, in the British style. Nice session beer. Sigmund (5831) - Tau, NORWAY - JUN 21, 2007
500 ml bottle, bought in Scarborough. Possibly filtered, but probably not pasteurised. ABV is 5.3%. As a cask ale it was voted "Champion Winter Beer of Britain 1998". Chestnut coloured beer, rich off-white to beige head. Very nice malty aroma with oaky and vinous notes, also caramel and dark fruits. Malty flavour with caramel, some raisiny and vinous notes, moderate hops. Moderate carbonation, soft mouthfeel. A pleasant beer to drink.

FROTHINGSLOSH (5658) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 7, 2007
Sampled from a 16.9 oz brown bottle this beer poured a brown color with ruby highlights and a small khaki head that faded quickly. The aroma was light sour malts and fruity hops. The flavor was malty, vaguely sour and tangy with a light caramel element. The mouthfeel was a bit thin and watery.

Clear, coppery brown, nice foamy head. Clean, bready toasty aroma, maybe a hint of burnt toast, as well. Similiar foacvor, maybe a touch watery. Notes of coffee, black tea, maybe some winey notes, too. Union Jacks, Knoxville, bottle.

Bottle. Ruby body with a small tan head. Nose is fruity (berries, light apple, hint of cherry), malt, and light wood. Light flowery note as well. Taste is malty and sweet with a dulled fruit flavor - sort of like unsweetened apple chips. Light cocoa, flowers, and some toasty notes. Body is medium with a dense carbonation. Finishes with more fruit notes, cocoa, toasty malts, light caramel and a bit of wood.

Cornfield (5570) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - JUL 2, 2006
Handsome pour, a rich brown body with ruby highlights and a creamy beige head. The aroma is malty with molasses, fresh apple skins, and just a hint of earthy bitterness. A sweet malty drink, caramel mostly, with molasses and fruit and a light nuttiness. Very nicely blended and quite drinkable.
