Dark brown/ruby topped by a small, frothy, off white cap. Mild flavor and aroma- roasted toffee, toasted grains, light cocoa powder. Medium body, balanced carbonation. Drinkable, would not buy again.

Pours a rich amber color with a tan head. Aroma is caramel, toast, grain, roast, some chocolate, minty, and slightly floral. Flavor is caramel, nutty, toast, roast, some chocolate, and a bitter earthy finish.

wimpyjoe (2983) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 31, 2012
A hoppy ale in aroma and to an extent in character but negated by its strength.

Kind of thin; fruity, dark malt, and a touch of earthiness. A disappointment

apoptosis (1317) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 25, 2006
Dark mahogany-brown body, with only a small head. Noteably low in alcohol. Musty, putrid aroma- very malty, but no real defining characteristics. Thin body with simply caramel and malts, no complexity at all. Sour, sweet finish.

Bottle: Pours a clear dark orange with red highlights and a thin white head, earthy hops with caramel in the aroma, thin bodied with a slick texture, starts and ends lightly sweet with a stale ending.

Cask at Kingston Arms, Cambridge. Weak taste especially considering the ABV. Slightly sweet, average bitter... Rated by BrewTom

Another dull, unremarkable beer from Daleside. Amber/brown body with a frothy white head. Some notes of caramel apples, malt, nuts. Thin and watery. Flavor was slightly sweet and malty but in a blah sort of way.

Eyedrinkale (3213) - Astoria, New York, USA - JUN 15, 2008
Bottle. Toasty caramel malts abound in the aroma. Tight, dense head. Flavor is really metallic with burnt malts and some cocoa. I can’t get past the metal taste, so down the drain it goes.
