Bottled - pasteurised. Occasionally available in the cask.
Deep amber in color with a fruity aroma which brings a complex mix of malts and mainly English hops including Fuggles and Northdown. With a hint of barley wine, it is ideal to accompany food.

Bottle from Booths, Media City. Clear amber with a small head. With an initial tangy fizz in the palate it has a mix of fruits and caramel sweetness followed by a bitterness. Fairly complex like the description suggests.

500ml bottle. Pours small white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, with biscuit also present. Complex. Colour copper. Taste is dark fruit, plums with some mildly sweet vanilla in there too. Not particularly malty but pronounced hoppy notes in the bitter finish. Enjoyed this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2013 Bottle. Deep amber body. Medium white head. Juicy malt, tangerine, dusty hops, bubblegum, fruity. Sweetish. Dry finish. Well carbonated. Okay. Yes, there is some barley wine here. 6 3 6 3 12 ### Bottle. Deep amber to copper body. Thin white head that doesn’t last long. Nose is juicy malt of good quality and ref fruit predominantly. Undercurrents are lots of white sherbet and a hint of lemon. Nuts and biscuits towards the finish. Sweet. Crisp dry finish on the palate. Like a Yorkshire version of Fuller’s ESB, although not as good. Tasted fresh. 7 3 6 3 13

9th July 2010: Brown 500ml bottle, best before the end of June 2010, drank a week too late then! Poured into an ’Old Speckled Hen’ vase shapped pint glass: Lovely true amber body with an off-white coloured creamy head. Plenty of lacing as the beer receded down the glass. The aroma was mostly of malts, with some hop undertones. The taste was a good blend of malts and hops, malts foremost, with a hop bitterness appearing later in the mouthfeel. A word I rarely use in beer terms: ’smooth’ finish and a polished, well produced beer.
