Cask @ Ackhorne, november 07. Medium amber color with a medium white head. Nice toffee aroma with some seaside mineral-saltiness aroma. Nice, gentle, toffee flavor with some fine english hops and caramel at the end. Nice. Medium palate with malts predominating and a really dry finnish. Neat amber bitter.

Cask (gravity dispense) at the Bricklayers Arms Yorkshire Beer Festival, Putney, London. A solid bronze/copper coloured, easy-drinking bitter. Light, soft malt aroma, with touches of smoke. Dry fruit flavours with robust, earthy hop backing. Smooth, but firm, mouthfeel. OK its not that different from hundreds of other similar beers but this is certainly a well balanced, well rounded example.

Nose is a little acidic and yeasty. Pours deep gold with a firm head and persistant lace. Comes truly into its own in the flavour - deep and full of character with an easy-drinking mouthfeel and a long, satisfying, well-balanced sweet malt finish.
