Cask conditioned at The Grapes, Oxford. Amber to gold with white head. Well flavoured for the ABV, light bitterness with a fresh hop note, not too much depth in the body, but reasonable bitterness. Good crisp finish, enjoyable Boys bitter.

Clear medium yellow orange color with a small average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate hoppy, riped citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light light heavy bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100424]

15th April 2010. Clear gold beer. Small white head. Light dry palate. Very light malt - then some crisp and bittering hops. A little fruit underneath. Hit the spot quenching my thirst! Not bad atl all.

JDW Spring fest - Rochester. Pale, light, delicat beer with a softly fragrant hop finish - quite flowery. It’s OK, but the parts don’t quite pull together into a whole that rocks my boat.

Cask conditioned handpump Saracens Head Daventry . A golden beer with an off-white head and lacing. A grassy hoppy beer with hints of citrus in the aroma and an unexpected touch of butter in the mouth. Quite lagerish and pretty decent.

Cask at the Moon and Spoon (JDW), Slough. A well balanced and refreshing bitter, despite the low ABV. Pale gold with a clean looking white head; crisp citrus flavour, good body; and grapefruit bitterness to finish. Excellent.

Cask, Last Plantagenet, Leicester. Hazy gold with a firm off-white head. Aromas are peppery yeast and citrus with quite sharp grapefruit. Dusty with light toast malts. Flavours are toast malts with bitter, pithy grapefruit. Dry with some sweet lemon. Sweet and hoppy on the finish with a peppery aftertaste.

Cask handpull at The county Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Pale gold, lasting white head. Hey the week 2 beers are coming on. Just a little soapy on the hops some yeast some biscuit, which is odd for such a pale beer. Great condition though. Really good in mouth. Slight bit of peach too. Rather lovely and the conditon is amazing.
