Bottle from Rhythm & Booze, Ripon. Very deep brown ale with decent cream head. Quite sharp at first before bitter coffee finish. Quite a thin mouthfeel for a stout. Not the greatest example of the style.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask at the Bricklayers Arms, 18th April 2008. Deep mahogany in colour and still. Chocolate malt aroma and flavour with a bit of a sour note. Soft and light on the tongue, pretty smooth. Reminded me of Beachy Head PDH in being almost a mild rather than a stout.
